Report for 2022–2023: From the Start of the Full-Scale War to Systemic ResilienceFor the NGO “PLATFORM OF INITIATIVES TEPLYCYA”, 2022–2023 became a time of the greatest challenges and immediate decisions. With the start of the full-scale invasion, we quickly reformatted our work to respond to the critical needs of society while keeping our main focus intact — supporting young people and community development.This report is the story of how we learned to stay flexible in times of crisis, brought people together, created the first spaces for adaptation, and laid the foundation for our future large-scale work.Key achievements of the period in numbersUAH 25,908,579 — secured in financial support from international partners and donors to implement humanitarian and social projects during the peak of the crisis. 4,511 families  — the total number of Ukrainian families with children who received urgent humanitarian aid and evacuation support from frontline areas. Responding to wartime challenges: We created comfortable conditions for the temporary stay of IDPs. In safe communities, we organized 6 integration and educational camps for 472 children among IDPs, children of military personnel, and children from de-occupied territories of Ukraine.Preserving youth work: We supported 16 youth centers and spaces, helping them remain safe hubs and points of support for teenagers and young people in their communities.First steps in modernization: We began work on improving living, sanitary, and hygiene conditions in the first 7 educational and healthcare institutions that were receiving people.What did this stage mean for our organization?Rapid reorientation: We proved that we can work in the "here and now" mode, turning humanitarian and social challenges into clear project solutions.Partner trust: It was during this period that we built strong bridges with international foundations that saw us as a reliable, transparent, and resilient local operator of change.Unity: We united communities around mutual support, showing that even in the hardest times, the synergy of youth and local self-government can work wonders.The beginning of our path to resilience. The “PI Teplitsa” NGO is a space where large-scale infrastructure solutions are combined with systematic support for local youth initiatives. The past two years have been a time of challenges for us, yet also a period of incredible growth. We have built up strong expertise in renovation and modernization, but our greatest asset remains the young people with whom we work on the basis of absolute trust and partnership. We don’t just improve conditions in communities—we create opportunities where young people take responsibility and change the world around them with their own hands. Our Results in Numbers (2024–2025) To demonstrate the scale of our impact, we use facts to highlight what we have achieved together with you:52,600,000 UAH — funding raised for the development of Ukrainian communities. 90,577 people — the total number of residents who have directly experienced the positive impact of our projects. 38 modern restrooms — completely renovated and modernized in educational and medical institutions in the Lviv and Zakarpattia regions, restoring dignity and inclusivity to these spaces. 15 youth centers — provided with financial and expert support, helping them reach over 54,000 young people and develop strategic investment and presentation portfolios. Environmental drive — we supported 5 youth teams through subgrants, who implemented cool eco-projects (from bike infrastructure and plastic recycling to green spaces), engaging over 3,000 like-minded people. Why does our model work? We strengthen community capacity: We combine rapid infrastructure solutions with long-term development programs. We invest in leaders: We support youth initiatives through mentoring, training, and the development of practical skills, rather than simply funding them. We create spaces of dignity: We transform dilapidated buildings into safe, clean, and barrier-free areas that meet European standards. We grow together!
