War steals childhood from children, but we restore their sense of safety, joy, and inner strength. The integration camps initiative by the NGO “PI Teplytsia” was created to help children and young people most affected by the war reset, make friends, and restore their mental health. Our camps combine active recreation, gentle socialization, and professional psychological support.
One successful case: “Aurum Camp” Thanks to the strong support of the “Voices of Children” Charitable Foundation, we brought a special project to life — “Aurum Camp” for children from the Donetsk region. We brought together children of our defenders and children from de-occupied territories to give them a space of unconditional acceptance.
During the camp, participants did more than just relax — they gained essential life skills:
- Psychological resilience: Using evidence-based psychological methods, children learned to recognize their emotions, calm themselves in critical moments, and cope with stress effectively.
- The power of synergy: Through team games and quests, participants strengthened their interaction, leadership, and genuine collaboration skills.
- Gentle integration: The camp helped children overcome isolation, feel part of a large and friendly community, and find reliable support to move forward.
